RocketReach Alternatives: Stop Paying for Contacts You Can't Use
RocketReach pricing in India, the costs that don't show on the pricing page, and the alternatives worth testing, starting with one that charges only for verified contacts. Checked October 2026.
Most teams don't leave RocketReach because of the plan price. They leave because of what they end up paying for: lookups that turn into emails that bounce, exports they run out of halfway through the month, and a yearly bill they have to pay upfront to get a fair rate.
If that sounds familiar, this guide is for you. It covers what RocketReach really costs in India, the costs that don't show up on the pricing page, and the alternatives worth testing.
The short version: if you want verified work emails and direct phone numbers, billed monthly in rupees, where you're charged only when the contact is verified and get the credit back if it still bounces, try prospiq. If you need a full sales platform with sequences, look at Apollo. If you only need emails at high volume, Hunter.

The costs that don't show on the pricing page
1. Monthly billing is where it gets expensive
On monthly Pro you get 250 lookups for Rs 4,367. That's about Rs 17 for every lookup. The yearly price looks far better, but only if you pay Rs 19,084 upfront and are sure you'll still need it in month eleven.
2. "Unlimited" lookups, limited exports
Yearly plans advertise unlimited lookups. What's capped is exports, the contacts you can actually move into your CRM or outreach tool. On Pro that's 3,600 a year, or 300 a month. If your team builds lists in bulk, exports are your real limit, not lookups.
3. A found email isn't the same as a deliverable one
Every email that bounces costs you twice. You've spent the lookup, and your sending domain takes a hit. Send enough bounced emails and your good emails start landing in spam, which quietly lowers the reply rate of your whole team.
Reviewers on Capterra India also mention outdated contacts and several phone numbers for one person with no way to tell which one works. That's time your SDRs spend dialling dead numbers.
The question to ask any tool isn't "how many contacts do I get?" It's "how many contacts can I actually use, and what happens when one doesn't work?"
The alternatives worth testing
1. prospiq: pay only for verified contacts
prospiq was built by a B2B sales founder who got tired of paying for bounces. It does one job: give you a person's verified work email and direct phone number from their name and company.
How you're charged
- 1 credit for a verified work email, 10 for a phone number.
- Nothing is charged if nothing is found.
- Every email is checked with the recipient's mail server before you're charged.
- If a verified email still bounces, send it to support@prospiq.net within 30 days and you get the credit back.
- Looking up someone you've already revealed is free, even months later.
- Unused credits carry forward for one month.
What you get
- Single lookups, bulk enrichment of a CSV, and verification of a list you already have, so you can clean an old database before a campaign.
- A Chrome extension for LinkedIn and Sales Navigator.
- prospiq AI included at no extra cost: cold email writer, ICP builder, company research and a prospecting coach.
Pricing in rupees, monthly, no lock-in
| Plan | Credits a month | Monthly | Billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 20 credits once | Rs 0 | |
| Starter | 500 | Rs 2,399 | Rs 1,919/mo |
| Growth | 1,500 | Rs 4,799 | Rs 3,839/mo |
| Pro | 3,500 | Rs 7,999 | Rs 6,399/mo |
Prices exclude 18% GST. You get a GST invoice. Cancel any month.
Compare it with RocketReach Pro monthly. For a similar monthly spend (Rs 4,799 on Growth against Rs 4,367), Growth gives you 1,500 credits. That's up to 1,500 verified work emails, or a mix like 1,000 emails and 50 phone numbers, against 250 RocketReach lookups. And you don't pay for any email that isn't verified.
What it doesn't do: prospiq doesn't send emails, and it doesn't offer intent data or org charts. Pair it with the outreach tool you already use.
Best for: sales teams, staffing agencies and founders who want contacts they can actually use, billed monthly in rupees.

Best for: email-only prospecting at high volume.
4. Lusha

Best for: small teams who live in the browser extension.
5. ContactOut
From $49 a month for emails including US and UK data. Strong on personal emails. Self-serve plans allow one user per company. More in our ContactOut alternatives guide.
Best for: solo recruiters who need candidates' personal emails.
How to test any tool in 20 minutes
Don't judge a contact tool by its demo or by searching famous CEOs. Every tool finds those.
- Take 20 people from your real target list, including a few hard ones.
- Run them through each tool you're considering.
- Count only contacts you'd actually send to or call: verified emails, numbers that connect.
- Divide what you'd pay each month by that number.
That's your real cost per usable contact, and it's usually very different from the price on the pricing page. With prospiq's 20 free credits you can run this test before paying anything.
