SignalHire Alternatives: What to Use When Monthly Billing Costs 4x More

SignalHire's monthly plans cost up to four times the yearly price. Here's what SignalHire really costs, where it falls short for Indian teams, and the alternatives worth testing. Checked October 2026.

SignalHire looks affordable until you try to pay monthly. Its combined email and phone plan is $83 a month if you commit to a year, and $327 a month if you don't. That's almost four times as much for the flexibility to cancel.

Add credits that don't roll over, separate plans for emails and phones, and reviewers who say coverage is weaker in India, and it's easy to see why teams look elsewhere.

The short version: if you want verified work emails and direct numbers on one monthly rupee plan, where you pay only for verified contacts, try prospiq. For a full sales platform with sequences, Apollo. For personal emails as a solo recruiter, ContactOut.

Where SignalHire falls short

1. Flexibility is expensive

The good prices need a 12-month commitment, paid in dollars. If you're testing a new market, hiring SDRs or just not sure about next quarter, you pay for that flexibility. SignalHire's own page says yearly billing saves up to 74%.

2. Unused credits disappear

According to a third-party review by HeroHunt, SignalHire credits don't roll over. A quiet month means paying for credits you never used.

3. Emails and phones are separate plans

Need both? You buy the combined plan or two plans. There's no single balance you can spend however your month turns out.

4. "Unlimited" has a cap

The same review reports a fair-use cap of about 2,000 reveals a month on the Unlimited plan. SignalHire doesn't publish this on its pricing page.

5. Coverage in India

Some G2 reviewers say SignalHire's results are weaker for contacts in India and Asia-Pacific than for the US and Europe. If you sell into Indian companies, test it on your own list before committing to a year.

The alternatives worth testing

1. prospiq: one monthly rupee plan for emails and phones

prospiq gives you a person's verified work email and direct phone number from their name and company. One balance covers both, so you spend credits on whatever your month needs.

How you're charged

  • 1 credit for a verified work email, 10 for a phone number.
  • Nothing is charged if nothing is found.
  • Every email is checked with the recipient's mail server before you're charged.
  • If a verified email still bounces, send it to support@prospiq.net within 30 days and you get the credit back.
  • Looking up someone you've already revealed is free, even months later.
  • Unused credits carry forward for one month, so a quiet month isn't wasted.

What you get

  • Single lookups, bulk enrichment from a CSV, and verification of lists you already have.
  • A Chrome extension for LinkedIn and Sales Navigator.
  • prospiq AI at no extra cost: cold email writer, ICP builder, company research and a prospecting coach.

How to test any tool in 20 minutes

Coverage claims like "900 million profiles" don't tell you whether a tool finds your prospects.

  1. Take 20 people from your real target list, including a few hard ones.
  2. Run them through each tool.
  3. Count only emails you'd actually send to, and numbers that connect.
  4. Divide your monthly cost by that number.

That's your real cost per usable contact. prospiq's 20 free credits are enough to run this test before you pay anything.
