What we charge for and what we don't

A practical walkthrough of every billable and non-billable action in prospiq.

One rule shapes prospiq's pricing: you're never charged for an unverified email — or a phone we can't find. Here's exactly what that means in practice.

What we charge for

We charge credits when we successfully return data that has passed our verification checks.

Verified email — 1 credit

Charged when we return an email address that has cleared:

  • A live mailbox check against the receiving server
  • A catch-all domain check
  • A disposable-address check
  • A role-address filter (unless you specifically asked for role addresses)

If any check fails, no email is returned and no credit is charged.

Verified phone — 10 credits

Charged when we return a phone number that has cleared:

  • Cross-source confidence checks
  • A direct-dial filter (we don't return switchboard numbers)
  • A recency check

If we can't find a number we'd stand behind, no number is returned and no credit is charged.

Both at once — 11 credits

When you ask for both and we find both, you're charged 11 credits total. If we find only one, you're charged only for what we returned.

What we don't charge for

This is the part that makes prospiq different from most enrichment tools.

Bounced or unverifiable emails

Other tools return guesses and let you pay for the bounces. We don't return what we can't verify. If a contact has no findable address, you spend zero credits.

Catch-all domains

If a domain accepts every address sent to it, real verification is impossible. We exclude these results entirely rather than charge you for an address that might be invalid.

Phones we can't confirm

If we can't tie a number to the person with reasonable confidence, we don't return it. You see no number and pay no credits.

Failed bulk upload rows

In a bulk job, each row is billed independently. Rows that return no data cost nothing. A 1,000-row upload that produces 600 successful emails costs 600 credits, not 1,000.

Browsing your data

Reviewing saved lists, your search history, or contacts you've already enriched costs nothing. Once data is in your account, looking at it is free forever.

Re-querying recent lookups

If you re-search the same person within a short window, we serve the cached result and don't charge again.

CRM push and exports

Sending an already-enriched contact to HubSpot, Salesforce, or Zoho doesn't cost credits. CSV exports don't cost credits. You're never billed twice for data you've already paid for.

Account, team, and admin actions

Inviting a team member, changing your password, editing your profile, managing settings — none of this consumes credits.

What about credits I've already used?

Credits charged for a successful verified result are not refundable on a per-lookup basis. If we returned a verified email and a few months later the person changed jobs, that doesn't entitle you to a credit reversal — the email was verified when we returned it.

If you believe a charge was wrong — a charged result that clearly wasn't verified, or a billing question we should resolve — email support and we'll review it manually. We take that seriously.
